How to photograph your pet for a portrait
The portrait cannot be better than the still you send. Face toward the camera. Window light. One frame that already makes you stop scrolling.

Light
Stand the animal next to a window, not under a ceiling bulb. Flash makes eyes dead. Overcast daylight is enough. If you can see whiskers without squinting, we can style them.
Distance
Fill the frame with the face. A backyard shot where they are a speck will print as a speck. Crop later if you must — start close.
What to skip
Filters, screenshots of screenshots, hats that hide ears, two pets overlapping so neither face is whole. Send the single clearest face.
